The glamour model turned businesswoman - who recently split from boyfriend Leandro Penna - left little to the imagination in a sheer black lace jumpsuit as she attended birthday celebrations for boxer David Haye at London's Paramount Club.

However she did protect her modesty with black underwear worn underneath the skimpy garment - and teamed the ensemble with towering black stilettoes.

And she appeared to enjoy her night out, looking slightly the worse for wear when she emerged from the birthday bash - which was attended by other celebrity guests including Linford Christie.

Price was spotted clinging on to a friend's arm when she left the club, suggesting she may well have had one too many during the bash.

It is the latest in a string of nights out she has enjoyed recently, suggesting that she is making the most of her newly single status.

Price has remained largely quiet about her split from Argentinian model Penna, except to say that they broke up some time ago.

However, she has revealed that they have remained on good terms, saying, 'We actually split a long time ago but we're still really good friends. It's all cool. We got on but it didn't work out, it was just one of those things.'

SYDNEY/TOKYO, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Apple Inc's new iPhone went on sale in stores across the globe on Friday, with fans snapping up the final gadget unveiled during Steve Jobs' lifetime, many buying the phone as a tribute to the former Apple boss.

Hundreds queued around city blocks in Sydney and Tokyo to get their hands on the iPhone 4S, ahead of store sales in Germany, France, Britain and North America.

"I am a fan, a big fan. I want something to remember Steve Jobs by," said Haruko Shiraishi, waiting patiently with her Yorkshire terrier Miu Miu at the end of an eight block queue in Tokyo's smart Ginza shopping district.

The new model looks similar to the previous iPhone 4 but has an upgraded camera, faster processor and highly regarded voice-activated software, which allows users to ask questions.

Australian Tom Mosca, the first to buy the phone in Sydney, said he would ask his new white iPhone: "Where's Steve?" Many Apple fans believe the phone was called iPhone 4S to mean "for Steve".

Apple CEO Tim Cook and his executive team hope the first device sold without their visionary leader at the helm will protect them against a growing challenge from the likes of Samsung Electronics .

The South Korean firm, Apple's arch-rival with smartphones powered by Google's Android software, expects to overtake it as the world's biggest smartphone vendor in terms of units sold in the third quarter.

The iPhone 4S -- introduced just a day before Jobs died -- was dubbed a disappointment because it fell short of being a revolution in design, but glowing reviews centred around its "Siri" voice-activated software have helped it set a record pace in initial, online sales orders.

In Tokyo, 24-year-old Ryosuke Ishinabe said: "I just wanted the newest iPhone. I want to try out iCloud."

Despite the enthusiasm at Apple stores, the launch was marred somewhat by widespread complaints this week on the Internet about problems downloading iOS 5 -- the latest version of Apple's mobile software.

There were also problems with iCloud, Apple's online communications, media storage and backup service formally launched on Wednesday, with users reporting glitches such as losing their email access.

Those concerns pale compared to the problems for rival Research in Motion , which has been grappling with an international outage of its Blackberry email and messaging services for several days.

JOBS SHADOW OVER iPHONE LAUNCH

The vast majority of the iPhone 4S buyers at the Sydney store appeared to be existing Apple customers, many having bought the original iPhone and its subsequent upgrades. Only one out of 10 people surveyed by Reuters was a new Apple customer.

"I have been waiting for the iPhone 5 for a long time. But since Jobs died, I wanted to make sure I had a new iPhone with some advantages over the old," said iPhone devotee Mark Du, concerned over future Apple gadgets without Jobs in charge.

Apple fans in Sydney and Tokyo made sure Jobs was part of the iPhone 4S launch, with flower, candle and photo shrines to the late Apple boss erected outside the stores.

Underscoring the enthusiasm for the new phone, Japanese mobile carrier Softbank Corp had to temporarily stop contract applications after its computer system was overwhelmed with more requests than it had expected.

Apple said it did not release sales figures on launch day, so gauging initial sales is difficult. Apple said it had taken more than 1 million online orders in the first 24 hours after its release, exceeding the 600,000 for the iPhone 4, though that model was sold in fewer countries initially.

Some analysts expect fourth-quarter iPhone shipments to reach 30 million or more, almost twice as much as a year ago.

Apple's fifth-generation iPhone uses chips from Qualcomm Inc , Toshiba and a host of smaller semiconductor companies, according to repair firm iFixit, which cracked the device open on Thursday.

APPLE SOFTWARE CRITICISM

Apple's iOS 5 software became available this week and is intended to upgrade older phones and enable new features such as better Twitter integration.

But glitches with the new iCloud service and mobile software sparked a chorus of user complaints.

"This would be a great time for like, Samsung or something, to take out a sponsored ad," user Ryan James Kirk tweeted.

The iPhone -- seen as the gold standard for smartphones -- is Apple's highest-margin product and accounts for 40 percent of its annual revenue.

Analysts point to several factors in Apple's favor: a $199 price that matches up well with rival devices; availability promised on more than 100 carriers by the end of 2011, far more than its predecessors; and glowing reviews.

A line of 357 women clad in bikinis and pink visors marched one mile down the beach in Gold Coast, Australia, to break the world record for biggest bikini parade. Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records monitored the event and confirmed that the Cayman Islands' previous record of 331 had been broken.

Gold Coast Bulletin News spoke with Hannah Lindgren, a participant in the parade. "The Gold Coast is all about beautiful women and beautiful beaches," she said. "It is the perfect place to hold the bikini parade." Organizers are hopeful that the parade will change public perception of Gold Coast as a crime capital.

Predictably, the parade may have served as a distraction for some. Sky News spoke with Australian lifeguards on duty. "We've been trying to watch the water... but we have been having difficulty patrolling the beach," one reportedly said.

SINGAPORE: Singapore's Circle Line rail network got off to a start on the first day of full operations, with the remaining 12 train stations from HarbourFront to Caldecott opening on Saturday morning.

It's also the first day of higher fares for bus and train rides, with adults who use the EZ-link card paying about two cents more per ride.

But that didn't stop self-professed trainspotter Jay Tan from hopping on.

The 23-year-old waiter took one of the first trains out, just after 5.30am.

He said: "Well I'm on one of the first trains out and it's been a smooth journey so far. Very few people on board. I suspect because most would prefer sleeping in on a Saturday morning. But not reporters like me, my hardworking camera crew and of course, a few train enthusiasts.

"I'm too excited, I (couldn't) sleep last night ... I wanted to board the first train. I also like to board the bus, take a bus photo at the bus stop outside the bus interchange doing bus spotting or trainspotting, sometimes. Like either the new train or new bus, I really like it very much."

A Singaporean man went missing in Greece on Tuesday evening, missing a medical conference that he was invited to attend.

Mr Kouk Leong Jin, a 28-year-old medical student from Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, had flown to Athens on Sunday evening. He made a call at about 10.40pm (Athens time) to a classmate, Mr Leong Jin He, on Tuesday evening, Sep 27, but the latter missed the call as he was already sleeping. They were both scheduled to attend the conference together.

Chinese local evening dailies reported that his wife of two weeks, Madam Seow Shu Ping, a 28-year-old teacher, and Mr Kouk's parents are preparing to fly to Athens this evening to look for him.

A Facebook page has also been created, with details of his time in Athens up until the time he was last heard from being chronicled, in an apparent effort to find people who may know of his whereabouts.

Madam Seow told Chinese daily reporters that she last heard from her husband on Monday, the day that he arrived in Athens. He sent her an SMS to tell her that he had arrived safely, followed by an email later in the evening. In the email, he told her that he was going to visit some smaller islands the next day. He had gone exploring some hills earlier and was full of praise for Greece's ancient architecture.

Madam Seow noted that her husband's behaviour had seemed normal, even promising to keep in contact with her, but she has not heard from him since then.

She said: "The conference was to have lasted from Wednesday to Friday, but since he went missing on Tuesday, I contacted some of his classmates, only to find out that he did not attend the conference at all."

Mr Leong told Shin Min that Mr Kouk did not respond to his SMS on the first day of the conference. When he tried to call Mr Kouk at 10pm later that night, he found out that the line was not connected.

A check with the hotel where Mr Kouk was staying showed that he last accessed his hotel room on Tuesday evening. A check with his telecoms provider showed he had surfed the Internet using his phone at a little past 10pm (Athens time) on the same day.

Duke-NUS told the Chinese evening dailies that a representative from the school will be sent to Athens to render assistance, while the family of the missing man has also reportedly contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the local embassy in Athens for help. Local police there have been alerted, while a notice was also posted on a Greek 'missing persons' website.

Wife buys one-way ticket to Athens

Madam Seow told Shin Min Daily News that she would not come back until she found her husband.

She and Mr Kouk's parents are reportedly flying to Athens this evening to look for him.

She told Shin Min: " If I cannot find him I'm not coming back."

After learning that Mr Kuok last went missing on Tuesday, she also found out that he has not checked out of his hotel room to date, nor was he on the return flight that was booked for him back to Singapore.

She said: "I can feel that he's just waiting for me to rescue him!"

The hotel staff reported that his room has remained untouched on Saturday evening, with his belongings in place.

Mr Kouk is about 1.7m tall, wears spectacles, and was last seen waering a light blue collared shirt. He was carrying a black bag, and wearing a pair of black shoes.... READ MORE

In a sex abuse scandal that some victims compare to what happened in the Catholic Church, at least 36 swimming coaches have been banned for life by the USA Swimming organization over the last 10 years because of sexual misconduct.

The coaches have molested, fondled and abused dozens of swimmers, according to court records and interviews conducted by ABC News for reports Friday on "World News with Diane Sawyer" and "20/20."

One coach, Brian Hindson of Kokomo, IN, secretly taped teenage girls he coached in two high school pool locker rooms, one in which he directed girls to a "special" shower room where he had a hidden camera inside a locker.

"It was a sense of betrayal," Indiana swimming star Brooke Taflinger told ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross for a report to be broadcast Friday on "20/20."

Taflinger's parents later identified Brooke for the FBI as one of the girls who was taped naked in the locker and shower area.

A Buffalo-area teenager who uploaded an “It Gets Better” video in May in which he talked about being bullied for publicly questioning his sexuality has committed suicide, The Buffalo News reports.T

he newspaper reports that 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer, in two final messages posted online early Monday, said he really wanted to see his recently deceased great-grandmother, and offered thanks to Lady Gaga.

“He touched so many hearts, so many people,” his mother, Tracy Rodemeyer, tells The News. “I didn’t realize how many people he touched. He was the sweetest, kindest kid you’d e

ver know. He would give all his heart to you before he gave any to himself.”

In his video, which he uploaded onto YouTube in May, Jamey talks about being the target of hateful, anti-gay slurs, saying, “They’d taunt me in the hallways, and I thought I’d never escape it.”

“I virtually have no guy friends,” he says in the video, made at his home in Williamsville, N.Y. “I only have friends who are girls.”

But Jamey clearly intended the video to be upbeat, and talked about how much support he had gotten after he “came out.”

“Love yourself and you’re set,” he says, looking into the camera.”I promise you, it will get better.”

When it comes to planning race strategy, a key component is factoring in the probability of a safety-car deployment. This is dependent on factors such as circuit layout, the ease of clearing an incident and predicted weather conditions. In Singapore, these factors come together to produce something close to a perfect storm: the safety car has appeared five times in the three races held there since 2008. That means that the Mercedes SLS AMG is almost certain to make an appearance again this coming weekend, as the Mercedes team explain...

Q: Which races have the highest probability of safety car deployment?

A: Calculated in historical terms over the past ten years, both Singapore and Korea have a 100 percent record of safety car deployment - although, in the case of Korea, this is calculated on the basis of a single race. Every one of the three Singapore races so far has seen the safety car deployed, for a total of 20 laps. Indeed, this total means that only Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso (93 laps) and McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (57 laps) have led more laps than safety car driver Bernd Maylander since the first Singapore Grand Prix in 2008. After Singapore, the races with the highest historical probability of safety-car deployment, during the past ten races, are Brazil, Monaco and Canada (all at 70 percent).

Q: How much has the safety car been used so far in 2011?

A: After 13 races in the current season, just four have featured safety-car deployments - Monaco, Canada, Belgium and Italy. In total, there have been nine deployments, of which five occurred during the Canadian event, for a total of 5.5 percent of the racing laps. By way of comparison, after 13 races in 2010, there had been a total of 12 deployments in seven different races, accounting for 5.1 percent of the racing laps. The reduction in the number of safety-car deployments, and the significant reduction in the number of races at which it has been deployed, are perhaps surprising given the increase in wheel-to-wheel racing that has occurred this year. Indeed, the safety car wasn’t used at all in the first five races of the 2011 season - the first time this had occurred since 2004, and only the second time in the past ten years. Furthermore, the 2011 season has seen two wet-dry races in which the safety car has not appeared at all - Britain and Hungary.

Q: How many laps has the safety car led in total this year?

A: So far, the safety car has led a total of 49 laps, equivalent to 218.3 km. Of these, 140 km were accounted for by the Canadian race. Indeed, the five safety-car deployments during this race lasted for 45.7 percent of the race distance - the longest safety car total laps recorded in the past ten years. The next longest deployments were at the 2010 Korean Grand Prix (26 laps, 146 km) and the 2007 Japanese Grand Prix (26 laps, 119 km). The race with the most individual safety-car deployments was the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix.

Q: Which season saw the most safety car use in the past decade?

A: Since the start of the 2001 season, the safety car has led almost 2,500 km - equivalent to approximately eight Grand Prix distances. 75 races have seen the safety car deployed a total of 117 times for 510 laps. The season which saw the most safety-car deployments was 2010, when it appeared 21 times at 12 races, for a total of 7.8 percent of the racing laps; in total, the Mercedes SLS AMG led a total of 87 laps for 452.3 km, equivalent to one-and-a-half race distances.

Q: Which seasons saw the least safety car usage?

A: The seasons with the fewest deployments were 2001 and 2002, both of which saw just five safety-car periods. In 2001, safety-car periods accounted for 2.6 percent of all racing laps, while in 2002 this figure decreased to 2.3 percent. Overall, between 2001 and 2010, safety-car deployments accounted for an average of 4.2 percent of all racing laps. This means that the 2011 season has seen above-average safety-car usage; however, if one does not include the Canadian Grand Prix, safety-car deployments would account for just 2 percent of racing laps in 2011, well below the ten-year average.

We know that Edison Chen’s not coming back to Hong Kong today and word is that the initial news saying he was returning today was cooked up by the media in the first place.

So there’s no need for East Asia Music nor Edison to comment on the no-show today. They refused to set a date on his eventual return.

The media revealed yesterday that Edison Chen had been actually proposing to Vincy Yeung all this while in Boston that they should get married, not once but at least four times.

He hoped to use the marriage as a base to turn over a new leaf and even sought to threatening slitting his wrists to “force” Vincy to accept. But following discussions with her family, Vincy rejected his proposal firmly.

It’s believed that instead of flying back to Hong Kong today, he has gone to Vancouver, Canada to help his mother move to another place (avoid the media glare) and also take temporary refuge for some relief.

His refusal to return to Hong Kong now stems from the fact that he could be hunted down by the triads upon his entry and also possible prosecution (victim -> accused) by the police for his involvement in the scandal.

The male lead in the sex picture scandal of artistes, Edison Chen, has fled to the US after the scandal was made public. His location is a mystery. But this paper have an inside source.

For many days, Edison has proposed many times to his girlfriend Vincy Yeung. It was to show that he has changed his ways. He even engaged in cutting (specifically his wrists) to threaten his girlfriend into marriage. Vincy refused the marriage proposals after consulting with her family.

The Hong Kong police and his management company combined forces to force a timetable on Edison’s return. But it was rumoured that he suddenly made a change in plan to go to Vancouver instead.

He is allegedly helping his mom move residents to avoid the situation.

Edison is the target of public angst. The sex pictures were leaked onto the internet on the early morning of January 28th.

He secretly left Hong Kong to the US to avoid the media glare. According to reliable sources, Edison left on a plane to Boston on that very day.

He went to explain to his girlfriend who is attending the Boston University. He wanted to point out that he was a victim.

He also declared that he was innocent and etc. to make his girlfriend change her mind. Vincy’s family was against Edison’s visit in Boston. Edison stayed in a hotel instead of staying with Vincy and her family.

Inside sources at Boston said that Edison wanted to see Vincy a lot and proposed to her many times during his stay in Boston.

He wanted to show his determination and even threatened her with death. He cut himself a couple of times in front of her and requested that she marries him.

In a past interview, he boasted that Vincy’s dad wanted him to have US$ 20 million when he was 32 years old so Edison can slowly leave the entertainment industry and marry Vincy.

But the sex picture scandal exploded and couldn’t be stopped. Edison wanted to keep the relationship going so he is using suicide to force a wedding.

But Vincy’s family is extremely dissatisfied with his actions; in the end, Vincy refused Edison’s marriage proposal and told him to give up on that thought.

Hong Kong police divulged that the CCB and Technology Crime investigation unit are in charged with this case. They communicated with Edison through his Hong Kong based lawyers.

They all have advised Edison to return to Hong Kong as quickly as possible. There are rumours that someone has ordered Edison’s death.

Edison’s dad could not bribe those people though a middle-person. So Edison is avoiding Hong Kong.

Edison has received calls for him to return to Hong Kong. After some time, he originally stated that he would return after spending Valentine’s Day with his girlfriend Vincy.

The original plan was to take a flight on February 15th (US time) to return to Hong Kong to help solve the problems. But he changed his mind at the last minute.

He told his lawyers that he wanted to help his mom move houses so he can’t return to Hong Kong yet. He did not specify a return date.

From the paper’s understanding, Edison told the police that if he returned to Hong Kong, he will be in danger because people threatened him.

He was also worried that he would be under police investigation after assisting the police’s investigation. So he is in a tug of war game with the police.

The police believe that Edison would not return to Hong Kong for now. They are in talks with his lawyers. Inside sources reveal that he is in Vancouver helping his mom move.

Since the sex pictures became international with the circulation, overseas Chinese residents are discussing this incident. So Edison’s mom, Carol, is distressed about this scandal. She has looked for a new residence to find some peace and quiet.

Edison Chen has been dumped by his girlfriend Vincy Yeung.

The reason for the split is believed to be Edison renewing his friendship with Cecilia Cheung after the sex scandal of 2008.

Vincy, who dated Edison for five years, was also said to be furious after she heard that Edison had invited ex-girlfriend Gloria Wong to his house for sex.

Although she stood by Edison after the sex scandal broke, she has apparently had enough of his philandering ways.

Edison has taken to microblogging site Weibo to win Vincy back.

This week, he wrote on his account "Only room for One!". He also uploaded a photo with the words "Wish you were here".

But Vincy is no longer following Edison on his Weibo.

NEW YORK (AP) — Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., won't be washing cars again — unless they're his own.

The soulful vocalist who once supported himself by washing cars at an auto dealership sang his way to victory on Wednesday on "America's Got Talent."

"Thank you so much for just believing in me," he said upon hearing his name announced at the end of the NBC talent competition.

"It's been a long, hard journey," he went on, barely holding back his tears as the audience roared, "ever since I was a kid. And it's finally paying off."

Murphy, a native of Logan, W.Va., wins $1 million and a Las Vegas headlining contract.

With his rich voice and mild-mannered persona, Murphy had been a favorite of the judges and the audience all season. He beat three other finalists on the season-ending telecast. They included The Silhouettes, a troupe of youngsters from Arvada, Colo., who use shadow dancing to illustrate music. This enormous group, more than three dozen strong ranging in age from 3 to 19 years old, had charmed the audience with its visual effects.

Moments earlier, the other two acts had been cut. They were teenage rock band PopLyfe from Oakland, Calif., as well as Team iLuminate, whose dancing performers equip themselves with wearable wireless lighting systems.

Viewers had cast their votes after Tuesday's performance show, when Murphy sang Frank Sinatra's "My Way."

On Wednesday's broadcast, Murphy performed "You're All I Need to Get By" in a duet with Patti LaBelle.

He will headline in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace next month, with the other three finalists also on the bill.

It seems like there are "lists" for every scenario. It also seems like Chicago Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano(notes) has been on just about all of them at one time or another. After his actions against the Atlanta Braves and subsequently in the clubhouse, Zambrano has a new list to add to his repertoire: the disqualified list.

So what exactly is the disqualified list? Well, it means Zambrano will be unable to participate in any type of team activity for 30 days -which was the duration the Cubs placed on him. It also means he doesn't get pay. After a rocky night against the Atlanta Braves, which ended with his ejection in the fifth inning, Zambrano went back into the clubhouse, collected his things, and told those present that he was retiring. To that I say fine and good riddance.

Zambrano's agent, Barry Praver, says the pitcher is not retiring, despite Zambrano's comments.

Zambrano's Cubs teammates weren't as kind. Pitcher Ryan Dempster(notes) said "He's made his stance pretty clear with what he wanted to do. He's probably got a lot to find out about. He can go do that." Alfonso Soriano(notes) added "he's been doing a lot of things, not once or twice, gotta think a little bit more. He's a big man, but I think that mentally he's weak."

Honestly, I think Cubs fans have been more than patient with Zambrano. I understand sports are emotional, and some people are more emotional than others, but Zambrano has had chance after chance to prove he is a "changed man" on the field only to find new ways to let both his team, and his fans, down. The latest coming in the form of his little tantrum in Atlanta.

The Cubs went on to lose 10-4, and somewhat overlooked is that Dan Uggla(notes) extended his hitting streak to 32 games, hitting two home runs. Speaking of streaks, Starlin Castro(notes), with his home run in the ninth, gave the Cubs their tenth straight game with a long ball.

Concerning Zambrano, there just isn't much left to say. He seems to come up with different shenanigans each time he makes headlines. It's a shame given what he's shown he can do. Perhaps this latest stunt will be the one that puts the Cubs over the edge and take him up on his proposal of retirement. We'll see.

According to People, the 35-year-old wed Danish businessman Michael Lilleund in Greece on Saturday.


Hours before her wedding announcement Tweet she also wrote, “I just got engaged!”


According to the mag, Tara met her groom in November in Saint-Tropez.


She was previously engaged to Internet mogul Michael Axtmann, but the couple split in 2010.

Kim Kardashian didn't let last-minute wedding details get in the way of showing off her curves at last night's VH1 Do Something Awards show in Hollywood.

People magazine has snagged the rights to Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kris Humpries, set to take place Saturday in Montecito, Calif.

Celeb gossiper Rob Shuter told Kathie Lee Gifford (who has an invitation to the wedding) and Hoda Kotb this morning on Today that seven photographers and eight camera crews will be on hand. E!, of course, will air the wedding as a special in October.

"This is our royal wedding," said Shuter. There will be tight security, including metal detectors to prevent anyone from bringing in cameras or cell phones so that images will not get out.

Although Tyra Banks revealed she doesn’t know if she’s invited to the big wedding next weekend, at the 2011 Do Something Awards she did indicate that Kim Kardashian asked her for input on her wedding dress as they chatted on the red carpet. Find out more after the jump!
