Sanawar (HP), Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck will tie the knot with Jetsun Pema, an alumnus of Lawrence School here, on October 13.
"The information about the Royal wedding''s date was received through an email, sent by Pema''s mother, requesting the school authorities to allow the bride''s younger sister Serchen Doma, a class XII student at Lawrence, to travel to Bhutan to attend the celebrations," said a teacher of the school.
"Jetsun was here for two years from 2006 while Serchen Doma is still studying here," he added.
The 31-year-old Oxford-educated king had announced in his inaugural address to the parliament on May 20 that he intended to marry Jetsun in October.
